Sunday Morning Shadow

Good Sunday to All!

I thought I'd do some laundry today, and while I was gathering up my quarters and soap, I guess Shadow decided to plop herself down on the nice, comfy laundry-filled bag that I momentarily placed on the living room floor!  LOL!

Wishing you all plenty of the light and funny moments in life!  Have a wonderful Sunday!

Ciao,
Gina and Shadow

R.I.P. Mayor Koch

My copy of "Mayor" (c) 1984.

I was saddened to hear that Mayor Ed Koch passed away this morning.

The first vote I ever cast after I turned 18 was for Ed Koch's re-election as Mayor of New York City.  I met him once during a parade he walked in on Steinway Street, in Astoria, Queens, and he signed something for me.

He would always ask..."How'm I doing?"

I'll always remember how down-to-earth and friendly he was, how he governed with an unmistakable human touch, and how his heart and soul was genuinely interlaced with his city--our city--New York City.

You did well Mayor Koch...you did very well.

Here's a link for information on the documentary..."Koch", by Neil Barsky, which coincidentally opens today...
